Managed Server Hosting enables an organisation to rent physical server and networking equipment which is hosted in a highly secure, state-of-the-art, fault tolerant environment - giving you assured levels of performance, availability and uptime without having to worry about providing space, power and cooling within your own office or data room. All managed servers are located in Techgate’s own data centre within the IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services facility in Chelmsford, Essex.
The service takes two formats:
Server Rental
Techgate arranges rental of servers that meet your specific availability and resiliency requirements thus avoiding the need for you to incur high up-front capital costs.
Server Maintenance & Management
This service provides management and associated activities for maintaining the server hardware and operating system. The main features of the service are:
- Full maintenance of all hardware with replacement machines on standby
- Firmware upgrades and O/S patch management as and when required
- Move and install new cards or other hardware components
- Resolve detected server failures in accordance with the Service Level Agreement
