The TechgateHost Managed e-Business Server is ideal for business critical online systems, that need to be available on a 24 x 7 basis, as it combines a high specification, fully managed, fault tolerant server with Techgate’s ultra reliable and high speed network infrastructure.

The TechgateHost Managed e-Business Server offers the following features:

  • High Specification – Rental of high performance, fault tolerant, multi-processor capable servers; standard specification as follows: rack mount HP DL360 or DL380 servers, minimum dual core Intel processor, 2GB RAM, 3 x 72Gb Drives running under RAID5 (144Gb usable), Redundant Fans & Power Supplies, 10/100 Network card.
  • On Demand High Speed Internet Connectivity – Dedicated Internet bandwidth from 2Mb upwards with 10Mb or 100Mb burst capability.
  • Security – All of Techgate’s managed servers are hosted in Techgate’s own data centres, located in IBM Business Continuity buildings which provide 24 hour security with CCTV backup and swipe card access control systems within the building.
  • Reliable Power Supplies - Clean and continuous mains power with building level UPS systems and dual generator backup.
  • Online Disk-to-Disk Data Backup - The data on TechgateHost Managed e-Business Servers are automatically and securely backed up onto the Techgate Online Backup storage platforms, thus ensuring that the data can, when required, be simply and quickly restored.

Techgate provide the following services, as standard, for all managed servers:

  • Monitoring of all servers and Internet connections 24/7/365.
  • Loading of security patches as and when issued by Microsoft.
  • Fully managed hardware & maintenance with replacement machines on standby.
  • Systems reboots as required
  • Management of all connections to Techgate managed firewalls; Techgate offers a choice of SonicWALL systems.
  • Dedicated technical support team with, networking, security and database skills.
  • 24/7/365 Technical support, by phone, fax or email.

All the above services are delivered from Techgate’s secure data centres, within IBM Business Continuity buildings, and utilise Techgate’s high speed, ultra reliable network infrastructure which has direct connections to three Tier 1 Internet backbone providers - Cable & Wireless, Energis and Level3 communications.
