Techgate plc, a leading provider of Cloud Infrastructure and Business Continuity services today announced that its Trusted Cloud Computing Service has achieved VMware vCloud Powered status, illustrating to customers that the company’s cloud services are underpinned by VMware’s leading virtualization and cloud computing technology, namely VMware vSphere® and VMware vCloud Director™. A member of the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP), Techgate plc provides its VMware vCloud Powered service as a set of cloud computing services across a common platform, supporting the largest set of existing applications and offering distinctive application mobility uniquely available from VMware.

Customers of Techgate have the ability to move workloads from their VMware vSphere-based virtualized or private cloud environment to the VMware vCloud Powered service and back again. Techgate sought VMware vCloud Powered validation in order to give its clients the confidence that the Cloud platform offered by Techgate is built and managed in keeping with VMware’s cloud architecture for security and availability. As a validated provider, Techgate can now provide users with enhanced responsiveness and agility, and reduced IT costs through increased consolidation, task automation and simplified management. The service will debut on 25th January 2012 and will provide Techgate’s existing and new clients with a Trusted Cloud platform to which they can move both their production and business continuity environments with complete peace of mind.
